One of the important pillars of the Tridharma of Higher Education is that it contains the importance of research for the development of science. This is the responsibility of all elements in it, both students and lecturers. To maximize this research process, strong support is needed, especially from the campus.
To improve the management of the institution and to support the research productivity of its lecturers, STEI SEBI through SEBI Islamic Business and Economic Research Center (SIBERC) conducted a Research Grant Governance Workshop which was held on Wednesday (27/7). The activity, which was carried out in a hybrid manner (online and offline), also invited speakers, namely Siti Ummi Masruroh, M. Sc, as the manager of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) UIN Jakarta, and Nurizal Ismail, SEI, MA, as the manager of LPPM Tazkia.
On this occasion, SIBERC Executive Director Dr. Ai Nur Bayyinah said, "Research is a very strategic activity for a lecturer, but at this time support for the research process is still not optimal even at the national level", he also added that one of the objectives of this workshop activity is how the campus can continue to provide support for research productivity for its lecturers through the management of research grants.
In her presentation, Siti Ummi Masruroh said, "In managing this research grant, a fairly detailed arrangement is needed to be related to the various mechanisms of each stage in it". The same thing was also conveyed by Nurizal Ismail, who said, "The existing management system in LPPM must be well regulated to be able to optimize the research conducted by the lecturers and produce research outputs as expected".
With this activity, it is hoped that it will be able to improve the management of SIBERC to support and provide facilities for lecturers to continue to be active in conducting research.
